Evolution Sports

Evolution Sports Coaches. 
This week we had an assembly from Coach James and Coach Dan on what sports Evo offer. We had a small demonstration with 4 pupils showing off their Rugby skills. They even got a medal for the efforts!

Year 5/6 Football Tournaments

This week there has been lots of football taking place! Years 5/6 boys and girls have been giving it their all in tournaments. Unfortunately we didn't get any medals, however the effort and sportsmanship from all of the pupils was excellent, well done guys. Maybe next time!

Reception Multi Skills

This week Reception have been to the jungle! They have been moving around as if they were different animals. We moved like any animals we could imagine that live in the jungle, such as lions.

Year 1 Gymnastics

Year 1 took a trip to the Circus this week and tryed gymnastic skills such as tight rope walking and balancing on a Vault! Some superb body shapes made by the Foxes, Tigers and Dolphins!

Swimming World Cup & Year 6 Gymnastics

Swimming World Cup

Year 5 went on a team building sports trip to watch some world class swimming. The Airweave Swimming World Cup was held at the Hamad Aquatic Centre. All pupils were a great representation of our school and enjoyed the day thoroughly! 

Year 6 Gymnastics

Year 6 (and year 5) have all been doing Gymnastics since the start of the term. They have all come on heaps and bounds and are demonstrating some fantastic rolls, leaps, types of travel and balances all with real quality!

Year 4 Cricket Skills

In PE this week year 4 have been developing their throwing and catching skills. We have worked on our overarm throws and fielding the ball off the floor. The pupils have all developed well and are able to field the ball and hit a target!

This week's PE Star of the Week. Sunni is in the Year 6 Wildcats class and is currently covering a Gymnastics topic. She preformed a fantastic travel sequence which included a superb cartwheel! Top Work!

Welcome to PE!

All pupils have done really well in PE this week. We have had lots of fun with loads of different movements, ball and team games. The pupils have all settled well into the school and to our new member of staff (as well as Mr Johnston!). We would like to introduce you to the PE department at Al Wakra; Mr Johnston (Head of PE) and Mr Shovelton.
